We entered our name so they can send it to Mars on a microchip.
My Eye
We learned about how the eye and how it functions by looking at pictures and a model of an eye. We also drew pictures of the eye from the front and from the side if you “cut” your eye in half. The eye functions when the light goes through your pupil and then it will hit the lens which makes the image the image clear and focused. After it hits the lens it will hit either a cone or an rod. Then from there the retina will send the message through the optic nerve to the brain which is then when you will be able to see.
The iris is the colored part, it blocks light and it changes the shape of the pupil depending on how much light there is around you. The white part of your eye is called the sclera and it also blocks light as well as the iris. The cornea is a clear protection over you eye.
I created the picture by taking a picture with the chromebook then I went to Pixlr to edit the photo by cropping it and then adding the words by going into “text”. Then I drew the lines connecting the words to what it represents on the eye.
4-PS4-2.Develop a model to describe that light reflecting from objects and entering the eye allows objects to be seen. (This was the introductory activity.)
